Sansevieria - Snake Plant Care

If you are looking for a plant that is near impossible to kill then Sansevieria or Snake plants as they are commonly known are the plants for you. Sansevieria have thick, tough leaves and a striking silhouette. I don't feel like there is too much to say about their care as honestly these plants are troopers and will probably keep going no matter what but if you want to do best by your snake plant keep reading!

Light: Sansevieria do best in bright indirect light but will also do just fine in low light or sunny areas too.

Watering: Allow your snake plant to dry out between watering. Avoid getting it's leaves wet and allowing water to sit on the leaves. Water more in growing season(Spring/Summer) and less in Autumn/Winter.

Soil: Use a well draining potting medium to avoid roots becoming soggy.

Fertilising: Use half strength houseplant fertiliser and fertilise monthly throughout the growing season.

Rotate your plant to ensure even growth and dust off the leaves to allow your Sansevieria to photosynthesise effectively.
